Second Stage Round 8: Bosna S. - Igokea 86-89

A very close game took place in Sarajevo betweenIgokea and Bosna . First ranked Igokea (10-13) got a very close victory on the road over their close opponent Bosna (10-13). Igokea managed to escape with a 3-point win 89-86 in the fight for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was forward Aleksandar Lazic (203-1996) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian-Bosnian power forward Nikola Popovic (211-1997, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Igokea players scored in double figures. American Michael Young (206-1994, college: Pittsburgh) produced 19 points and swingman Edin Atic (201-1997) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending Bosnian champion maintains first position with 10-13 record, which they share with Bosna.
